AI Lab Research Lead

Dr Khensani Xivuri is a Technology Governance and Responsible AI leader focused on building innovative, ethical and trusted AI systems. With expertise spanning IT governance, risk, assurance and applied data science research, she works at the intersection of emerging technology, accountability and real-world impact. She serves on Audit and Risk Committees and as a Board member in the public sector, contributing to strengthened governance, oversight and ethical leadership in complex regulated environments. Dr Xivuri holds a PhD in Applied Data Science from the University of Johannesburg, where she specialised in AI fairness, and is actively involved in research, mentorship and advancing Responsible AI, governance and ethics.
